Here are some work I did at Savannah College of Art and Design before transferring to Ringling for Computer Animation:
I took a History of Motion Design course at SCAD. One of our assignments was to create a film poster in Saul Bass's style. I chose to do the musical Sweeney Todd.
I also did a poster combining the old and the new in the history of Motion Design.
One of our final assignments in this class was to create two website pages for a famous film director who had a huge effect in the history of motion design. I chose Lotte Reiniger.
I also took my first computer animation class at SCAD. In this class we learned basic modeling, lighting, and texturing. One of our projects was to choose a character and put a twist to how the public sees him or her. I chose Willy Wonka. Everyone knows him as a chocolate maker, who allows chosen winneres to enter his chocolate factory. I put a twist to his character by making him a child kidnapper. He lures children into his factory to kidnap them and trap them in his factory forever. I had to model, light, and texture two rooms that represent Willy Wonka as a child kidnapper. This was all done in Maya.
